NO INTERNET CONNECTION

Work through these steps in order. Check off each item as you complete it.

  • 01

Check if other devices can connect to the internet

If other devices work, the issue is with this specific device

  • 02

Verify WiFi is enabled and connected to the correct network

Check the WiFi icon in your system tray or settings

  • 03

    Restart your computer or device

A simple restart fixes many connection issues

  • 04

Power cycle your modem and router

Unplug for 30 seconds, plug modem in first, wait 2 min, then router

  • 05

    Check all cable connections

Ensure ethernet and coax cables are securely connected

  • 06

    Check modem lights for errors

Online/Internet light should be solid. Blinking or red = problem

  • 07

Try connecting with an ethernet cable directly

Bypasses WiFi issues - if this works, WiFi is the problem

  • 08

Windows: Settings → Network → Troubleshoot. Mac: Hold Option + click WiFi icon

  • 09

Flush DNS cache and renew IP address
